Stephan's Quintet, is a compact grouping of five galaxies located in the constellation Pegasus. It was discoverd by Edouard Stephan in 1877 at the Marseilles Observatory. This group of galaxies is the most studied group of all the known compact galaxy groups. These galaxies are of interest because of their ongoing violent collisions, which will more than likely end with the galaxies merging. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephan's_Quintet
